| Jungle | 48.5% | 0.4% |
Olaf is banned in about 3.3% of games at this tier, one figure for the whole champion since bans happen before roles are picked. What ban rate measures.
Olaf's Top win rate is 0.3 percentage points above an even 50% — Should I Dodge's win-probability model varies by about 4.8 percentage points of standard deviation from lobby to lobby across all ranks, purely from which champions get drawn, so this gap is smaller than that noise, not solid evidence the champion is unusually strong or weak right now.
Olaf is tracked in 2 roles at this tier scope; the per-tier, threat, and counters reporting below all use its highest-pick-rate role, Top — its numbers in Jungle (0.4% pick rate) stay visible in the table above but aren't carried into the rest of this page.

At most five champions are listed in each direction for Olaf: 5 listed as countering it here, 5 it counters back, with a tight, 1-point spread — none of them stand out much from the others among them — most matchups you could actually face in a real game simply aren't covered.
Our Read on Olaf
Reading the Numbers
Throw an axe, swing a weapon, get tougher to kill the lower his health drops -- that's most of Olaf's gameplan, and it doesn't ask much of a player beyond committing to a fight. He becomes immune to crowd control right when he needs it most, and that duelist identity hasn't shifted much over the years despite plenty of kit tweaks elsewhere in the game. He's built around one simple threat rather than a kit full of decision points, so there's rarely much mystery in what an Olaf pick is planning to do.
When a Teammate Locks Olaf
Let an Olaf teammate pick his fights: he wants a single target he can isolate and outlast, not a full enemy team at once. His ultimate strips crowd control and boosts his survivability for a stretch, so time your team's bigger engages around that window if you can. Expect him to keep pushing a losing fight longer than most champions would -- that stubbornness is the whole point of the kit.
When the Enemy Has Olaf
Kite or disengage while an enemy Olaf's ultimate is active, since it removes the stuns, roots, and slows a team would normally use to peel him off a target -- save your commitment for after it expires and the long cooldown begins. His damage scales with how low his own health drops, so a slow, grinding fight plays into his hands more than a fast, decisive one does.
