Viktor

Computed from 173,532 ranked Solo/Duo games collected through the Riot API · patch 26.21.
| Role | Win Rate | Pick Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Mid | 48.6% | 5.6% |
| ADC | 49.1% | 1.1% |
Viktor is banned in about 8.8% of games at this tier, one figure for the whole champion since bans happen before roles are picked. What ban rate measures.
Viktor's Mid win rate is 1.4 percentage points below an even 50% — Should I Dodge's win-probability model varies by about 4.8 percentage points of standard deviation from lobby to lobby across all ranks, purely from which champions get drawn, so this gap is smaller than that noise, not solid evidence the champion is unusually strong or weak right now.
Viktor is tracked in 2 roles at this tier scope; the per-tier, threat, and counters reporting below all use its highest-pick-rate role, Mid — its numbers in ADC (1.1% pick rate) stay visible in the table above but aren't carried into the rest of this page.
Viktor's Mid Build

Our Read on Viktor
Reading the Numbers
Viktor is a mid-lane battlemage, and the 2024 rework put his growth in the open: Glorious Evolution gives him Hex Fragments from kills, and enough of them buy an augment point that upgrades one of his basic abilities. The ultimate is the last ability he can augment. That makes his page a lesson in how much a single resource shapes a champion. A Viktor who farms cleanly and gets his augments early reaches a different tier of power than one who stalls, and the aggregate you see mixes both. Winning lane is the first step to many of his best games.
When a Teammate Locks Viktor
Viktor on your team asks for time and protection. Gravity Field slows enemies inside it and stacks until they are knocked down and stunned, so he is best when he can set it where a fight has to happen. Hextech Ray fires a beam down a line, and Arcane Storm leaves a singularity that follows the nearest champion it hit and can be redirected. Give him room to farm early, since each augment makes him better, and plan fights around a front line that keeps enemies standing inside his zones.
When the Enemy Has Viktor
Do not linger in Gravity Field. It slows at first and then builds toward a knockdown and stun if you stay, so walk out early. Arcane Storm interrupts channeled abilities when it lands, then follows the nearest champion it struck, which means hiding behind a teammate does not help. Hitting Viktor before he collects augments is the cleanest way to keep him small, because the whole kit depends on those upgrades. Dive him when his key spells are on cooldown, and he has few answers for a team that reaches him.
